Terracotta Warriors!

17 February 2015

Next we went to Xi'an to look at the Terracotta warriors. Somehow, in the travels, my camera broke. The lens wouldn't focus, and I couldn't take pictures. So we looked up a nearby place for fixing such things and gave it to the people behind the desk. Above was Bea's reaction to finding out how much it would cost to fix the darn thing.

We didn't have time to wait in store for them to fix it, so my e-reader had to suffice as a camera for the day. Which I'm sure was very entertaining in retrospect, but I don't like to think about it....

It snowed the whole time we were in Xi'an. It wasn't terribly cold, but wet and slushy, and somewhat inconvenient. Not a lot of other people were out and about, which was nice for this prairie girl! But most of the food places were also closed, which was not as nice.  We survived it though, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the world famous Terracotta Warriors.
