adorable, lovable, and extremely demanding

7 April 2014

Welcome to life with my four nieces. ^_^  We are having an absolutely fabulous time, and I am completely exhausted at the end of every day.
I've been here almost a week now, and we have danced around the living room, had a fashion show with costume jewelry, been to the emergency room, and watched Frozen half a dozen times.

The youngest, Hazel, has decided that she likes me, but she isn't happy unless either her Mom or myself are holding her. And not just casually sitting next to her - holding her and giving her our attention. She is an attention hog. She's the most adorable little attention hog in existence, but she is still an attention hog.

The first day I was here - she was fussing so I picked her up and sat down on the couch, and she cooed happily away... until her mom sat down beside me.

Now, my sister and I do look a lot alike - and apparently, she hadn't noticed that I was *not*, in fact, her mom. So, having Sarah sit down beside me was a rude awakening. Annnnnd she lost it.

Took her a few minutes of utter confusion before she really caught on that there are now two spectacled red-heads in the household.

She's good with it now though. ^_^

The next youngest, Olivia, is the reason we got to visit the emergency room. She just has far too much energy for one little body to handle. Honestly.

Olivia's favourite games are "horsey" and "flying" - both of which require me to carry her around. And she is very persistent in her requests. Very pointed requests, rapped out at point blank volume.  She also has the sweetest giggle in the world.

Or at least, I think so.
^_^
